Day 6: Get Some Fresh Perspective
So for today's challenge (actually yesterday) I was supposed to have a set of fresh eyes take a look at the blog and offer some critique. So I decided to have my wife take a look and offer her opinions. I knew going in that this would be interesting as she knows as much about blogs and technology education as I do about government finance (her chosen profession). So as expected the whole thing was a little foreign to her. She wasn't exactly sure what she was looking at and was a little confused by a couple of terms. She wondered what a widget was and why Clustrmap was spelled wrong and what did it do. The exercise was a reminder that sometimes I expect visitors to my blog (both of them) to have a solid understanding of what they are looking at and how to navigate around the site. So I guess now I need a set of experienced eyes to take a look and offer their opinion, any takers?
